In the city that never sleeps you’re bound to see some interesting stuff. “Interesting” in this city refuses the confines of any one definition. Instead it embodies all that is wonderful, odd, confusing, entrancing and downright strange.

Here’s a poem to commemorate such experiences!

Two weeks in New York
on foot and by train,
perusing huge craft fairs,
and dodging the rain.
We bought all black clothes,
and attempted to cater,
until we were fired,
“you’re through, cater waiter!”
Saw a free show,
while in Prospect Park,
and saw a nude guy,
walking home in the dark.
Tried out some deals,
sought thrift and antiques,
we modeled for print ads,
as computer geeks!
Took in some art,
heard jazz and played pool,
tried beers from our globe,
and think Park Slope’s cool.
There’s much more to go,
for Aggie and Leo,
next week could be Rome,
London, Paris or Rio!!

leonard, out.
